A psychoanalytic insight into the human subject's predisposition to operating within a legal system. That the nursery and familial relations form the basis of a legal system; through an exploration of Bienenfeld theory of justice and Freud's Oedipus Complex. Analysis of both positivist and psychoanlytic theories as to individual motivation to recognise a higher authority as well as exploring concepts of guilt, as defined by the institution as well as the self.
