About
As part of my PhD research at Birkbeck Law School, my primary areas of concern involve the practice and administrative aspects of political trials, civil justice, the politics of law and language of trials, by reference to the show trials which took place in Eastern Europe in the 1950’s. I am interested in legal theory, culture of law, including construction of human rights and terrorism, the legal profession and ethics, law of relationships and contract law, especially when approached from the critical or socio-legal perspective.
I am the Commissioning Editor of the Journal of Academic Legal Studies with Marc Stauch of Leibniz University, Hannover, Germany and am writing a new contract law textbook. I am also solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and consultant with a central London firm.
I studied law as an undergraduate at Birkbeck College, University of London, have a postgraduate professional qualification from University of Westminster and LLM degree from London Metropolitan University.
